Bottom Line

I keep this blanket in my car and use it on especially cold mornings when I have to take my children to their grandmother’s house for day care. I plug it in and it warms up quickly and it is big enough to cover my 2 daughters in the back seat.

How do you clean the blanket if it stinks from using it.

    • The 12 Volt Blanket is Hand Washable only.

  3. 4out of 5

When you say 12V how many watts does it use? If I were to use it with my fuelless generator how long would one or two of these be used time wise? A 400 watt heater barely lasts 1/2 an hour and that would drain it completely. What is the comparison. Thank you.

    • The 12 Volt blanket draws 48 watts of power. The generator has a 600 Watt hour battery capacity. This means that a device that draws 600 Watts would run for 1 hour. So ideally, one blanket could be used for approximately 12 hours and two blankets could be used for approximately 6 hours.

Larger devices, like your heater, have a strong peak draw (much stronger than 400 watts) which may be why you are experiencing shorter run times with the generator. For example, a 700 Watt microwave has a peak draw of more than 1600 watts, and therefore is not compatible with the generator as it can only handle a peak draw of 1600 Watts for up to 5 seconds.

Do you sell the adapter that is needed? If not where can I buy one?

i have a 12v electric blanket .Can it be used w/ the 1st 360 green generator. do I need an adapter? I purchased gen. order#136398 1/19/16

An adapter will need to be used to connect the 12V Electric Blanket into the 360 Watt Generator as the generator does not feature the 12V (Cigarette Lighter) input.

From the earlier ads, I thought you could do more with the 440Watt fuel-less generator; so when it went on sale – I purchased one. Now I am concerned it may be worthless. Can you tell me what it WILL work with, Please?

1 year 4 months ago

The 440 Watt generator has a maximum output of 200 Watts. This means that any device that requires a maximum of 200 Watts is compatible with the 440 Watt generator. Most 12 volt items are compatible with this generator as long as you have the 12 volt adapter that plugs into the USB port.

What is the peak draw of the new generator? Are there any heaters that are compatible?

1 year 9 months ago

The new expandable generator has a continuous output of 1500 Watts with a 2000W peak for less than 5 milliseconds using the AC outlet. To verify the compatibility of a heater, you would need to check that it does not require more than 1500 Watts of continuous power. The main compatibility issue with most heaters is the peak wattage required to turn on the heater requires more watts than the expandable generator can provide.
