Charlie’s baptism into the world of entertainment began at the early age of 3 years when he entertained passengers on board a cruise ship with a rendering of that classic song ‘New York, New York’. On further cruises he also entertained them at the grand piano.
In 2005, at the age of eight, Charlie was invited by the ‘not forgotten association for ex-servicemen’ to perform at their annual concert at St James’ Palace. The highlight of Charlie’s day was being introduced to HRH Princess Anne.
Charlie came to the world’s attention in 2008 when he sang on the hit TV show ‘Britain’s Got Talent’. This led to him having over 10 million hits on You Tube. He was immediately invited to the Philippines where he sang for the President, Gloria Arroyo and also met the legendary Filipino world boxing champion, Manny Pacquiao, who requested that Charlie sang the much loved Filipino song ‘Dahil Sa’Yo’.
In 2009 Charlie was a special guest on the Sarah Geronimo tour of the USA. He appeared in 13 different cities in 7 weeks and performed in such places as New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington DC, Chicago and Las Vegas, where he sang on the same stage as Frank Sinatra had years before.
At present Charlie has toured the USA and Canada four times. In 2010 Charlie won three awards at the ’22nd AWIT Awards Ceremony’ in the Philippines. These are the equivalent of the Grammy awards in the USA. He won the awards for ‘best Jazz Recording Artiste’,‘Best Performance by a New Male Artiste’ and ‘Best Performance by a Child Artiste’. During this time Charlie paid two visits to Italy where he was a special guest on the famous TV show ‘Ti Lascio Una Canzone’. He was also invited to China where he performed at the ‘Television Fashion Awards Ceremony’ in Shanghai.
After returning home to England for the Christmas celebrations Charlie returned to China to sing at the ‘New Years Eve countdown TV show’ in Shanghai City Centre Square. In March 2011 Charlie paid his first visit to Japan where he was guest entertainer on the TV show ‘Shekai Number 1 Showtime’. The annual show attracts around 20 million viewers.
Due to Charlie’s voice going through the natural transition from boy to man’s voice he took a long break from concerts and began working with his new vocal coach, Gillyanne Kayes. In 2014 Charlie recorded his first gospel CD entitled ‘I Will Sing Praise’ which is still available on the SP&S label.
In November Charlie was invited to sing at the Salvation Army’s ‘Christmas Carol Concert’ at London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall. In July 2015 Charlie sang at the Salvation Army’s ‘Boundless Congress’ at London’s O2 Arena celebrating their 150th anniversary.
October 2015 saw Charlie jetting off to the USA where he took part, as a special guest, in the ‘Andy Williams Christmas Show’ at the Andy Williams ‘Moon River Theatre’ in Branson, Missouri. On his return to England he also appeared with the Osmond Brothers in their pre-Christmas 15 show tour of the UK.
For the past 3 years, Charlie has been touring with Jimmy Osmond in his show ‘Moon River and Me’ a tribute to the legendary singer, Andy Williams. This tour has taken Charlie to various places in the United States, including Las Vegas, New York, Chicago, Niagara Falls and Boston to name a few. The tour has also played over 50 dates in the United Kingdom.
Early 2018, Charlie released his second gospel album ‘the 90 and 9’, a collection of original and favourite gospel and inspirational songs. Charlie spent 3 weeks in Utah recording this album and has been produced by Jimmy Osmond and released under the Osmond Entertainment label.
